Begin your learning or improve your technique with our teachers who's experience and passion will introduce you to the pleasure and subtlety of pictural art. Our classroom has been especially designed for comfort and warmth to make sure that the course is also a relaxing moment for you.

Oil painting imprimatura with Denis Rondeau (starting January 20th 2010)

From italian, imprimatura is an ancient pictorial technique used nowadays in trompe l'oeil and scenic painting. With concrete exercises, you will study and explore the methods and principles by which the grand masters of this technique have deeply changed the evolution of painting.

Artistic exploration with Nadine Samuel (starting January 22th 2010)

Exploration of past and actual styles, this course is about learning the fundamental notions of pictorial and spatial harmony on which every artwork rely. Less concerned with technical perfection than the discovery of new perspectives, it is offered to both beginners and experts.

Composition workshop with Michel Raymond (January 17th & January 31th 2010)

This painter has prepared a workshop about composition and the courses will take place on two Sunday from 9:00 to 16:00 for 80$ (and taxes) a day. The artist will explain what drives him in his artistic choices, what to paint, how to find balance between your subjects, identify the main axes of your work and learn to identify which caracteristics are important, like color and texture.

N.B. Courses can be cancelled if there is not enough students. If so, Galerie Roussil will refund everyone within 30 days.
